Customer Success Associate (Part-Time)

Are you excited by camping, overlanding, road trips, or tailgating? We are a lifestyle brand that designs and manufactures vehicle-mounted kitchens and pull-out drawer systems. Our products provide everything you need to prepare, cook, and clean on the road. We prioritize high-quality construction, American manufacturing, and easy mounting with our prebuilt systems.

We are looking for a Customer Success Associate to help manage day-to-day customer service and marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with retail management/customer service experience and a desire to work in a dynamic environment with a lot of room for creativity. The right Customer Success Associate can follow instructions while they learn the ropes and take charge without supervision once they have a hang of day-to-day operations. Most importantly, the Customer Success Associate will be eager to take on new roles and continually expand their professional knowledge base.


Nomad Kitchen Company is located in Oakland/Alameda, California. We have a work environment that encourages flex-time, working remotely, spending time in nature, and developing community. Most of our customers place orders online, yet we pride ourselves in our proven ability to offer a personal experience no matter where our customers are located. Key Functions:

Customer Service ~ 50%
  • Supervise online customer services by ensuring all questions are answered in a timely manner

  • Ensure customers are provided comprehensive information to ensure they select the right Kitchen System for their needs and that they know what options they have for their vehicle

  • Schedule customers for in person pickups and vehicle outfitting appointments

  • Assist in kitchen system mounting during in person pickups and vehicle outfitting appointments

  • Create and manage invoices

  • Promote sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers

Marketing ~ 40%
  • Generate content to promote Nomad Kitchen Co

  • Create and publish social media and email marketing campaigns

  • Interact with potential customers at tradeshows and events a few times a year

  • Support the growth of the Nomad Kitchen Co community

Warehouse Operations ~ 10%
  • Assist with warehouse operations and order fulfillment as needed

  • Pick/pack/ship orders under the supervision of the shop manager as needed

  • Assist in receiving and restocking inventory as needed

Skills & Experience:

  • Retail management and/or customer service experience preferred

  • High degree of analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Takes pride in delivering excellent customer service

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced environment

  • Interest/Experience in business development, sales, eCommerce, marketing, and advertising preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Instagram/Facebook/TikTok, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software

  • Ability to assist in moving and handling of merchandise up to 90 pounds, which entails lifting and performing all functions as set forth

Job Type:

Part-time with the possibility to become full-time and take on more responsibility as the company grows and roles shift


  • Pay: $22/hour

  • Access to use all Nomad Kitchen Co products, accessories, and a suite of additional camping and cooking equipment

  • Flexible schedule

  • Ability to work from home most of the time

  • Potential for additional hours, increased wages, and increased responsibility

  • Stipends/reimbursement available for campsites/food/etc. when using product line and creating high value content

Schedule: (upon completion of training period)

  • Available to remotely respond to customers’ inquiries (exact times TBD)

  • Available for local customer pickups and outfitting at the warehouse (exact times TBD)

  • Available to assist at the warehouse as needed

Work Location:

  • ~70-75% remote

  • ~25-30% at warehouse in Alameda, CA
