USA gas stoves usually work with propane gas under high pressure (=> 50 mbar or 0,73psi) but EU gas stoves work with butane or propane but usually under low pressure (<50 mbar or 0,73psi) so it took me a while to figure this out because most gas converters for recreational purposes go as low as 50mbar so I put a 300mbar (= 4,35psi) inverter in between so I have half the power to cook (2 x 10000BTU = 20000BTU instead of 40000BTU) but it works so far.
