The Original Nomad Kitchen will fit any SUV, Crossover, Wagon, Truck, or Van with enough cargo space to fit a box 25 inches deep, 20 inches wide, and 14 inches high (plus ratchet straps and red lock tabs) and 3-4 tiedown anchor points.

Original NOMAD Kitchen

All Nomad Kitchens include an optional 3/4 inch thick leveling and riser block to clear trunk sills and level the kitchen in vehicles with a sloped trunk. Kitchens and Pantries can be positioned on either side or in the center of your cargo area.

You can partner our modular Pantry Drawers with your Original Nomad Kitchen.

They can be mounted to the side, on top of, or below the Original Nomad Kitchen. When stacked, pantries can be bolted together with the included hardware for a secure and easy setup. They can also be used alone, stacked, or paired side-by-side.

When fitting Pantries side-by-side or next to an Original Nomad Kitchen, your clearance options are as follows:​

  • 34 inches minimum between wheel wells and anchor points (two 17-inch Pantries, no Kitchen)

  • 37 inches minimum between wheel wells and anchor points (one 17-inch Pantry with an Original Nomad Kitchen or 20-inch Pantry)

  • 40 inches minimum between wheel wells and anchor points (two 20-inch Pantries or one 20-inch Pantry with an Original Nomad Kitchen)

 

Two 20-inch Pantry Drawers stacked on top of each other are the exact same size as one Original Nomad Kitchen.

A note about pickup trucks and cargo vans -  You can install the Nomad Kitchen in any pickup bed or cargo van, however, we recommend installing additional tie-down anchors into the bed of your truck or floor of your van for better positioning and a more secure fit. We also recommend the Nomad Kitchen LT for pickup trucks. You can find more details on what it takes to install tie-down anchors into a pickup truck or cargo van on our FAQs Page.

The Original Kitchen will fit additional smaller vehicles with the rear 60% seat folded down. The Nomad Kitchen CV is recommended for smaller vehicles or if you are looking for a base to a bed platform.

Make sure your vehicle has metal anchor points that connect to the body of your vehicle. If your vehicle comes with plastic anchor points they will need to be replaced with metal bolt-on anchors.
